UROC celebrates National Undergraduate Research Week

April 14-19 is National Undergraduate Research Week. To celebrate, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) is inviting the CSU Monterey Bay community to three days of events that will showcase UROC student achievements. These event give CSUMB students the opportunity to discover research opportunities through UROC. All events will be held at UROC, located on the second floor of the Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial Library in Suite 2150.

Moss Landing Marine Labs Research Opportunities Available: Application Due March 14

CSUMB undergraduates can apply to conduct research at the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories (MLML).  Research opportunities include projects investigating fish, invertebrate, and seaweed biology and ecology. Applications are due by March 14, 2014

CARMEL, Calif. —The 106-foot-high, sediment-filled San Clemente Dam on the Carmel River will be torn down in August.

Federal, state and local officials said the largest dam removal in California's history will be a crucial environmental restoration project that could serve as a precedent for other dams in the U.S.
